Tim and Kristen

05.31.10  |  Engagements

Tim and Kristen got married last weekend! I shot their engagement session the week of the wedding.

Last minute engagement marathon!!

We started in Wicker Park and I met them as they exited the Damen blue line...

And right off the bat, Kristen got her shoes dirty! =(

Luckily, I had a bandana for her to clean up! We kept shooting around the "Park"...

One of their favorite places!

And then we headed to their place...

And found this guy...

And this guy! So cute!

A family photo!

The cat was checking out the dog treats but the poor pup wanted no part of the session!

And we finally nabbed another shot...

Tim and I carried a chair out to the backyard for some more shots...

A high five...

and we were off to Montrose Saloon where they had their first date!

An engagement session that ends with cheap beer is my kind of engagement session!

The wedding pics are coming up soon!

Dana and Jared

05.30.10  |  Engagements

Dana and Jared are getting married this fall. We decided to do their engagement session near my place in Evanston and then headed into the city for a few more shots. Dana was rocking the poses! She was a natural. =)

Little people!

There are some cool places in Evanston to shoot!

Ha!

I asked them to get in their white shirts and roll up the jeans for some beach shots!

I love these...

I was loving Dana's hair!

Playing around with some really pretty light...

They climbed up a tree for this one!

And then the hard part. Getting down!

The beach was empty so we played around a lot!

After our Evanston adventure we headed into the city. They met each other at Hidden Shamrock in Lincoln Park.

And then the Chicago skyline shot with a bird that photo-bombed our picture! =)

We ended our session with some cold treats!

Can't wait for the wedding!

Denise and Mark

05.30.10  |  Weddings

Denise

and Mark. They chose the very cool, Salvage One, as their wedding venue.

Some makeup skillZ...

Definitely a fan of the birdcage veil.

Love the lighting!

Her shoes...

And her something blue!

Her mother and sister help her in her dress...

Blue toenails!

And she was off to meet her man...

A quick spin and it was time for the photo shoot!

I pretty much love everything about Salvage One!

We headed out for some photos at Life's Too Short...

She noticed a few photos on my blog and wanted to shoot here. I have missed this place. It's so cool!

There's nothing gay about this. Um, er!?! =)

POW!

BAM!

And then we arrived back at Salvage One for more photos!

The bride was killing the air hockey table!

A vintage Pepsi machine!

I will pledge to always shoot the "dream" sign. =)

Mark's mother gets ready for the family photo session...

Denise and her mother...

Love this one...

The best man waiting patiently for the ceremony to start!

Mark leads his mother to her front row seat!

And the ceremony begins...

Denise cried! I love when this happens!!

And so does her dad...

That's some major hat action going on!

Her mother...

and father...

I love this photo of Mark's mother...

And it's a wrap!

They headed upstairs to catch their breath before joining everyone for cocktails...

Alliance Bakery did an amazing job on a Futurama inspired cake!

And even a little miniature cake!

Lola Event Productions did a great job on making sure the day went by without a hitch!

The tasty food from Limelight!

I photographed their engagement session a few months ago. Shortly after, their kitty passed away. =(

They gave everyone a set of chopsticks as their favors!

Some cocktails...

Everyone took their seat for the first dance...

And, that's that! =)

Some speeches...

Yes, the cake was a hit!

And delicious!

I grabbed a quick shot of the dancing...

and I headed out for the night.

Thanks for having me!

Nicole and Liam

05.30.10  |  Weddings

You know it's going to be a fun wedding when you show up to be greeted by a French Bulldog with a wonk eye. =) Nicole and Liam were a blast and we had fun having Margarita's at their favorite restaurant the week of their wedding!

Nicole's niece stealing my shot!

Her other little niece is in shock at how fast Sonia Roselli beats a face. I take no credit for the phrase "beating faces". That's all Sonia.

Nicole actually wore Paris Hilton shoes for her wedding day. Loves it.

Her "something blue"...

We had to get some shots with her baby...

Beautiful!

They were so excited for their first limo ride!

The ceremony...

I love the look that her sister is giving her mother during the ceremony...

Liam spots me in the pews...

We chased the rain clouds after the ceremony. Liam and his best man guarded the bouquet while I was shooting the bride...

A quick stop at the restroom before the groom posed for the camera!

North Avenue beach...

Nicole looked beautiful!!!

The scary rain clouds kept creeping up on us!

A quick shot of the bride...

And then the rain came down!

A few drinks before we took more photos...

The rain stopped and we ran to the train!

Some crazy protesting...

Love these!

I think these next two are my favorites!

We arrived at their reception. Liam finished his last gulp before heading in for the party!

The very cool view from The Tasting Room.

Debi from A Perfect Event did a great job with the decor and keeping the night running smoothly.

The cake!

The best man gave a great speech...

The speeches were great. Not sure if you can tell that by this guys expression! He looks like he is going to kick my butt! =)

And a thumbs up from the bride with a smirk from the groom!

And then the dancing was ON!

The groom gave everyone an amazing rendition of "Party In The U.S.A."!!!

She was not ready for the party to end...

Nicole's father with his cool hat...

I love this one...

And I had to end this with the French Bulldog. What a face!!!

Hope to get another margarita with you both soon!

Izzy Part Four

05.28.10  |  Kids!

Izzy!!

I think she just keeps getting cuter with each shoot. Ye, it's kind of disgusting. =)

Kim jumped in a few shots for Mother's Day. Danny...it's your turn next month!

I love how these came out!!!

Kim got Izzy's little feet ready for the cold sand.

I love these next two!!

Ha! She was just not impressed at first...

TOO cute.

And then she fell in love with the beach...

Can't wait to see you guys next month.
